The Province of Granada is part of the Andalucia Community in the south of Spain and north west of the Costa del Sol, stretching from the Sierra Nevada to its coastal region on the Mediterranean Sea, the Costa Tropical (see separate listings).Granada With an area of nearly five thousand square miles and only a resident population of less than one million you'll be certain to find some tranquillity here! Attractions are to be seen in many towns especially of the historic nature, which is hardly surprising when you learn of its past from prehistorical, Roman, Moorish, medieval kingdoms, with them all leaving monuments and ruins that can be explored in tours of alone.

Getting around is easiest with the aid of car hire collected from the terminal on your arrival, try to book at least a month in advance to obtain the best prices and offers. Refreshments can be had in the many restaurants serving typical Spanish fare or pop into a local bar for snacks and tapas.
