Costa Tropical
One of the smaller coastlines of Spain is the Costa Tropical (it's name is fairly self explanatory) located in the Province of Granada, in fact it is sometimes called the Costa de Granada. Here the high mountains of the Sierra Nevada plunge into the calm waters of the Mediterranean Sea with only a few holiday resorts scattered along it's short seaside region.Costa Tropical The Costa Tropical coast has many fine beaches in the vacation resorts and in the many little rocky coves surrounded by high cliffs in which visitors are certain to find a tranquil patch of sand to while away their break in the sunshine.

Summers are very warm with many long days of cloud free skies and temperatures often in the thirties, so pack the sun-screen. Winters are very mild due to protection from the dominant westerlies by the mountains just a short distance inland where you will find ski resorts. With no airport on the Costa Tropical you will need to book a flight from either Granada or Malaga and allow a couple of hours drive to your accommodation, both airports have many arrivals from all over Europe offering seats at various price levels, so check them both to get the best deal.

Car hire can be arranged at either of these if you don't want to pay for a transfer, excellent offers can be arranged if booked well in advance for vehicles of all sizes, and the bonus of having your own transport is you can visit many of the local attraction along the Costa Tropical or further a field.

Historical sites are to be seen in many of the localities from the areas rich history including some from the times of Roman and Moorish occupation and going back further to prehistory. Family fun is found along the coast at the various aqua play parks and utilising the many water sports available such as boat trips, jet-skiing, diving, skiing, found at the most popular beach resorts or in the small harbours. There is a wide choice of places to stay from cheap to luxury hotels offering extensive deals all year round, some all inclusive, many targeted to families and others to the younger generation, alternative to this is to find a holiday rental where you can cook yourself or partake a different diner every single day.
