It is of brick and concrete construction. It is situated close to the centre of the village. This home would be ideal as a holiday home or holiday let although my wife and I have lived here for 4 years. Ground Floor The panelled front door leads into the sitting room. Telephone point Air conditioning (cools the whole of the ground floor). TV point Electricity consumer unit. The sitting room leads to a hallway giving access to the kitchen and dining room. Beyond the dining room is a room we have used as an office and junk room. The previous owners used it as a childs bedroom and hence has fitted wardrobes. This is where it becomes a little difficult to envisage. The house backs on to another street which is higher than the front street so the garage is above the office/bedroom and is at the same level as the first floor of the house. First Floor The front bedroom benefits from a small balcony with spectacular views of the Sierra Nevada in the distance. It also has fitted wardrobes. The bathroom is in the middle of the house and comprises of: WC Bath with shower over Bidet Basin The second bedroom is at the rear of the house. It has to be said that the house is of modest proportions but that does have the benefit that the Contribution (the equivalent of Council Tax) is very low. This year it was 33 Euros for the year. Village House in Charming Andalucian Pueblo This house is situated in the charming Andalucian village of Bracana which is about 35km to the West of Granada.This home combines the benefits of being in a quiet village but with easy access to Granada, the Costa and Sierra Nevada. It is 6Km from Autovia A92. The population is a little under 500 but manages to support two bars, two general stores and a primary school. There is an edificio multiuso (community centre) presently under construction. The latest information I have is that there may be a third bar opening in the village soon. Should you be unfortunate enough to need medical facilities, the surgery is staffed by a doctor and nurse every weekday morning and there is a botiquin (dispensary) open during the mornings too. There is a regular bus service to Granada and Illora with six buses a day during the week and four on Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays. The village is 20 minutes from Granada International Airport with regular flights to the UK with the budget airline Ryanair. There are several fiestas throughtout the year with the main one occurring in mid August. Out and About If skiing or snow boarding is your thing, Sierra Nevada is around an hour away or if you prefer to spend some time on the beach, Malaga is an around an hour away too. For those that enjoy city culture the Alhambra and Granada are a little over 20 minutes drive. The historic towns of Illora and Montefrio are close by and worth a visit too.
