Local Attractions to Aguimes: Relax in timeless atmosphere surrounded by fantastic nature. Hiking, birdwatching and an astronomical observatory ( www.astrotemisas.es ). The district has some of the best preserved cave dwellings, in the protected area of the Guayadeque Ravine, where even the church has been built into the hillside and there is a cave bar and cave restaurants. The district also includes the most renowned scuba diving area on the island: the marine reserve at the Playa del Cabrón just 30 min from Temisas. The diving in this area includes caves, arches, walls and volcanic reefs, where an extremely wide range of sub-tropical marine species can be found. The whole of the coast along the Atlantic Ocean in this area provides 'world class' conditions for windsurfing at any time of the year.
