Why is this a good deal? - 8 reasons:
1. An investment for the future. House prices are going down in general many say. That may be true but it is also true that estate in the “prima linea” i.e. directly in front of the sea have much more stable prices and have been rising over time. So if you are planning to keep this apartment for more than 2-3 years it is surely a good investment.
2. You are buying in a part of Spain which is not over-exploited like many places west of Málaga.
3. Almuñécar is in a small zone where there is a very pleasant micro climate. It is not called Costa Tropical for nothing. Here grows bananas, mangos and chirimoya and if you look at weather statistics it is unbeatable. (Most of these photos were shot in January 2008)
4. Cotobro is one of the best parts of the town. Its just beautiful, green and peaceful. Because there is only local traffic (hardly any traffic passing through the area) it is pretty quiet. (Anyway for Spanish standards)
5. You have your “own” beach just in front of you. No need to take the car or bike anywhere. The only time of the year it is crowded is in August when all beaches are packed because of vacation time.
6. If you want to start your morning walk along the sea it is the perfect starting point. You reach the paseo with its breakfast places within 5 minutes walk. You will meet the sunrise on your way.
7. You get an apartment that is well equipped. All necessary installations have already been done so you can move in and start using it very quickly. No need for installing internet, satellite TV, phone jacks, buying electro domestics and so on.
8. Potential to increase the indoor area. As you can see from the external photo, some owners have put a glass in front of the terrace which makes it very live-able space also during cold periods. During the summer you could fold them back. It has been approved to do this by the owners (the Comunidad ) at a meeting when this was brought up, provide you use the same design as the other owners.
